Steering Committee

• Regular Meetings of the Steering Committee of the KRRP are held in which financial matters are managed (Annual Budget = RK 80) as well as practical, policy and progress issues.

• Activities include co-ordinating work on the ground (Cleaning, clearing, planting), training (Life Skills and freshwater monitoring) and managing of staff and general administration.

• Trouble shooting – As problems arise they are confronted and dealt with and the project is shaped by experience.

• Monitoring Success - Monitoring and evaluation report required to assess effectiveness and whether goals are being achieved.

• Canvassing Support – Essential for a living project because it provides new blood.

Expenditure

The projected expenditure required to March 2005 by expanding the workforce to 5 and working 3 days a week is in the order of RK165. Any other businesses are welcome to join and participate in the project.
There are a number of ways to do this;

• sponsor a River Warden,

• sponsor plants,

• sponsor additional signage,

• sponsor training and or equipment,

• sponsor tools – weedeaters, wheel barrows, grass mower,

• sponsor transport,

• sponsor the maintenance and service of equipment,

• sponsor a public awareness campagn.
