Park Island – "Fish Eagle Hide" – Opening 20/11/2004.

Erika Foot opened proceedings by addressing the people, gathered for the 
opening ceremony of the new  Park Island Bird Hide, situated on the north western
corner of the island.
She thanked all those responsible for making it happen, 
The Roland and Leta Hill Trust Fund (Julia Wood), Syfrets (Mike Bosazza) the WWF – SA (Hettie Gets), Clifford Dorse, Bevan Lill (ZEEP), the Friends of Park Island and The Zandvlei Trust.

The opening of the door to the "Fish Eagle Hide" as it has been named.

The proceedings ended with some snacks enjoyed by all who came.
Faye caterers part of Umvubu (Eco Tourist Company) based at Rondevlei Nature Reserve provided some of the food and drinks made from indigenous Strandveld plants from the Park Island. This was certainly something different!
