Rondevlei Nature Reserve

Rondevlei Nature Reserve was established in 1952.

  • It has recorded 228 bird species.
  • It is the home to the Cape's only hippo population.
  • Its Education Centre is visited by 7000 children annually. 10000 other visitors, many tourists, visit Rondevlei for its experience annually.
  • The Toll Road would bisect the Rondevlei land area in the False Bay Ecology Park.
  • The planned Toll Road through The False Bay Ecology Park, is initially a single carriage way, with an upgrade to 6 lanes in 2028.
