Harvester Ant  (Messor capensis) worker ant body length about 12mm long. They feed on seeds and aid in the dispersal of them. Tend to be in drier areas. They make large nest under ground.

Cocktail Ant  (Crematogaster peringueyi) An arborial nest made of vegetable fibres and glue with salivary secretions. The workers reflex the heart shaped abodmen over their heads when alarmed.
