Mole Cricket (Gryllotalpa africana) From 25 - 30mm long and lives in a burrow which can be 1 metre deep. Feed on plant roots.

Mute Cricket (Cophogryllus) Small about 10mm long, this one missing both its hind legs. Are noctural in grassy areas.


Jerusalem or Sand Crickets (Sia pallidus) live in burrows under stones. They are carnivourous. Also can give a serve bite.
