Biotic – Insects

The birth of a Dragonfly.

This is a Friendly Hawker Dragonfly (Aesha miniscula) that has just changed from the water nymph stage, to the adult dragonfly. The water nymph climbed out of the water and shed its external skeleton, so that it can take on the life cycle change of flying around to catch its prey, instead of in the water.
