Biotic – Insects

Scorpions. (Technically are not classed as insects, I will included them here for interest sake).

 

Cape Burrowing Scropion (Opisthophthalmus capensis) juvenile grows to about 90 mm.
The fine hairs on the tail and pincers are seen. It burrows in sandy soils under stones.
Found at Clement Park in September 2008.
