Peter Barker from Lakeside shares with us, his family photo album.  His father Oz, uncle Ron used to visit a Lakeside school holiday camp, from Johannesburg in the 1930's. This was organised by a Captain Cheesie (surname unknown) a WW1 veteran.
They went to Parktown Boys High School. Jeppe Boys High also used to attend these camps. The photos were taken with the family Box Brownie camera.

This record of over 100 photos from the album, gives some idea of what areas looked like in and around Cape Town on the school boys annual December visits and their activities. (More information will be added when I can speak to Oz and Norman Barker).
