Brackets for the belt tensioner and alternator being developed and made. Pieter found it is possible to reverse the inlet manifold, so that increases the space for the belt drive bearing housing, which is very fortunate.

 

Mounting holes for the starter motor have been positioned and drilled. Starter ring completed. Bill and Pieter have researched the best options and settled on a belt drive. It is the lightest option currently.
Bill has made a number of belt drives for various industrial purposes in the past. He made the first belt drives for the local microlights a number of years ago. So he is confident this is possible.

Measurements and weights have to be calculated for the engine mounting and clearances for the other accessories required for a water cooled engine. Also the addition of a drive reduction box.
