World Wetlands Day 2008
Frank Wygold and Jenifer van Niekerk receiving a sponsors cheque from the General Manager, Mr de Meyer from Totalgaz South Africa.
Totalgaz also sponsored Stonedragon the education facility with this cheque. Totalgaz are the largest landowner in the Paarden Eiland industrial area abutting the wetland.
Denise Robinson MP, spoke about how wetlands look after us and we need to look after them. She emphasised that not enough is being spent on looking after wetlands and natural areas.
The children had their faces painted with ecological themes while all were treated to something to eat and drink.
