On a lovely sunny day, some of the Exco and Task Team members got together for a braai and some social catching up.

Ian and Sharon brought along new member Graham Barrett. The setting under the shady tree at the picnic bench was absolutely beautiful. The backdrop of the Steenberg Mountains with the quiet and peaceful surroundings was ideal.

The botany people spoke plants, the birders birds, the trackers animals and other creatures, and social creatures just caught up.

The Fish Eagles made an appearance, Whitenecked Ravens came zooming over, Grey Herons were about with weavers, cisticolas, prinias, warblers, bulbuls, robins, swifts and swallows.

Over the years members have contributed many hours of their time and effort at the Reserve, so it was enjoyable to just 'chill out' and catch up.

It was suggested we do this more often with members included.
