Celebrating World Water Day on Saturday 22/03/2008, twenty Zandvlei Trust members together with staff of the Greater Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve, enthusiastically removed 30 bags of litter from the reeds and waterways on Park Island, Zandvlei.
A better than expected turn out for the Easter Weekend, with the 2 Oceans Marathon also taking place.

It was a hot sunny and very windy morning, we also saw the spoor of grysbok and a seldom seen vlei rat ran down a pathway. The leervis were jumping in a number of places around Zandvlei.
