Zandvlei Trust Peninsula Paddle Expedition on 23rd May 2010. Black River.
Under the bridge at the Rondebosch Golf Club, the confluence of the Black River into the Vygieskraal River, which becomes the Black River. Some very curious golfers in the background.
Putting masks on just in case the water splashes into their mouths., Dont want to take any chances you know!.
The Athlone Power Station towers in the background (soon to be demolished) as a landmark.
Setting off in the Black River. The Mowbray Golf Course on the other side of the river.
That is the eastern side of Devils Peak, looking west from the Black River. The Red Cross Childrens Memorial Hospital is behind the crane in the background.
More testing samples taken, looks like plenty of phosphates from the blue condition of the contents.
