Peninsula Paddle Expedition on 23rd May 2010.

Sand River canal.

The Zandvlei Nature Reserve is on the other side of the river.

Having crossed the first litter net and back in the canoes.

Now they are in the canal alongside Prince George Drive, Retreat.
The water is not very deep so they have to pull their canoes along.

At the bend in the canal Alistair is interacting with a woman who wanted
to know what "these guys are doing".

She said "this is a first, I had never seen anything like this before".

The Peninsula Mountain chain in the background. People going about their
early morning business, amused at these guys and what they were doing.

They are heading for Princessvlei.
