Peninsula Paddle Expedition on 23rd May 2010.

The start at Zandvlei.

On a very warm morning with a berg wind blowing from the north east, "the team" arrived in the car park at the estuary mouth. The weather was playing along in everyones favour. A cold front with rain is expected tomorrow.

In the car park 06h00 and putting the sponsors logos on the canoes and
getting all the kit ready.

Family and supporters were there.

Alistar Harris the official photographer also helping to get the transfers on.

David Muller giving some background information about ZVT to Lara Taylor,
the videographer for the expedition.

Knead from Muizenberg, delivered croissants and coffee at 06h30 for the intrepid paddlers.

A quick get together to check everyone has all the things they need. Also enjoying the coffee.

Kim Kruyshaar from Scenicsouth came from Fish Hoek with her sea kayak to paddle with the expedition on Zandvlei.

It is getting lighter.

A Coot was out early waiting for the sun to come up,
