Environmental Education – Muizenberg High at Park Island

This group of children from Muizenberg High School spent the day on Park Isalnd on 6th November 2002. They are part of 120 children who were divided into groups. The Island was divided into grid blocks and groups were allocated a block.

They were set tasks of identifying the various flora and fauna in the grid block. They had to answer developed tasks from the lectures they received. They also had practical experience in taking salinity readings of the water at various points in the Zandvlei.

Some of the groups spent time fly fishing.         Class was never like this when I was at school. What fun!.
