Zandvlei
estuary nature reserve

SEEP –
World Wetlands Day celebration, 6th February 2003.

SEEP organised an outing
to Zandvlei
for 120 pupils from the Grassy Park,
Lotus River/Pelican Park/Parkwood
and
Steenberg/Retreat/Lavender Hill areas.
They alternated between Zandvlei
and
Rondevlei Environmental Centres with
a talk and walk around to learn about Wetlands and Estuaries of which Zandvlei
is the most south westerly estuary in
South Africa.

Erika gave the groups a talk about what they were going to see at Zandvlei.
She asked them how Wetlands and Estuaries function.

part of the days events.
