They found a Gannet. Erika and Elzette explained what had probably happened to
the Gannet and why it was washed up onto the beach.

Elzette showing the children some Sea Bamboo (Kelp) which is an important
component of our shores. It offers shelter, it disperses the wave action and it
is a food source for many small creatures in the sea. It is a very good soil
fertilzer as well.

The remains of a Rock Sucker fish was also found. This fish eats limpets
on rocky outcrops in the sea.
