House Restaurant – Cape Traditional Evening
About 80 members and friends enjoyed
an excellent evening with host Marche White of the Railway House Restaurant, in
the lovely historic Muizenberg Railway Station building.
The wet weather has abated so we had a dry evening for our mid winter function.
Some of the members enjoying themselves.
Clifford Dorse gave a presentation on the proposed Greater Zandvlei Estuary
Nature Reserve outlining the importance of the proclaimation, to enable the
proposed area to be managed effectively. Presently Clifford has little control
over the inflows of the catchment into Zandvlei, that is, via the rivers from
the mountains and the sea at high tides.
