Zandvlei Estuary Nature Reserve 

Spring 2001 Flowers

Excellent rainfalls were recorded this Winter around Zandvlei and the flowers are looking very good. Some plants are being seen which have not previously flowered for a number of years.



  The Whitethroated Swallows are back.

  The vygies have regained a place after the removal of the 'exotic trees'. The dead wood
   is the disintigrating pile of removed 'exotic trees'. The pile would have been triple its present height.
